ZOOMHis international strategic consulting business Design Connect has shaped and facilitated design-led strategy thinking in design companies of all sizes, regions and sectors. As an expert on national design policy, Michael has even consulted the European Commission in Brussels, where during his time as President of BEDA, he initiated and led the inclusion of design into Europe's innovation strategy for the first time.
From 2001-2005, he served on the Board of Icsid, He was a member of the International Advisory Committee of torino World Design Capital 2008 and Seoul World Design Capital 2010. He currently sits on the UK Government's design export advisory committee 'Design Partners'.
